About
About this quote generator
Fill in your business and client details, add line items, and the quote updates live. Set a valid-until date, then download as a PDF and send it to your client. Works on phone and laptop, nothing to install.
Is this quote generator free?
Yes. You can create and download quotes for free. Free PDFs include a small “Made with tapntool.com” badge.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Open the page and start typing — no signup needed.
Can I set a valid-until date?
Yes. Every quote has a valid-until date so clients know how long the price holds.
Can I use my own currency and tax rate?
Yes. Choose your currency, enter any tax percentage, and add a discount as a percent or a fixed amount.
Where is my quote saved?
Your draft is saved automatically in your own browser on this device. It is not uploaded to our servers.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG logo (under 1 MB) and it appears on the quote and the PDF.
Is this a legal quote or tax document for my country?
This tool helps you format a professional quote (also called an estimate or quotation). Rules for quotes and tax details differ by country (GST, VAT, sales tax). Check your local requirements and add any needed fields (ABN, GSTIN, VAT number, etc.) before you send.
What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote is sent before the work to show the proposed price and how long it is valid. An invoice is sent after the client agrees or the work is done, and asks for payment by a due date.
How do I convert an accepted quote into an invoice?
Click “Quote accepted? Convert to invoice”. Your business, client, items, tax, discount, currency and logo are copied into the free Invoice Generator in your browser, with a suggested invoice number. Set the due date and download.
What happens after the valid-until date?
The valid-until date tells your client how long the price holds. After it passes you can update prices and send a new quote. A quote is usually accepted when the client confirms it in writing or signs it.
